Sometimes, I feel like we have problems that our nonfarmer friends just wouldn’t understand. My washing machine is the perfect example of this. I know I’m not alone, and since I’m here among my fellow Women in Ag, I’d like to vent. Can I get an “Amen!” if you’ve ever found one of these in the laundry at your house?
Nuts, bolts, washers and/or nails
Wrench, screwdriver, pocket knife, plyers
Pens (WHY IS THERE ALWAYS A PEN?!)
Receipts from your local farm supply store
One fencing glove (First of all, why am I washing this? Secondly, where is its twin?!)
Spare truck parts small enough to store in a pants pocket
More nuts, bolts, and washers
Eggshells (No? Is my husband the only one who thinks the washing machine will magically dissolve broken eggshells out of a towel?)
Livestock marking chalk
Corn kernels
